Weekly What Bird Wednesday

It has been a busy summer and I have been quite preoccupied from the blog so I will try to get back into it. Here is my very late W.W.B.W. post. By the way, the last one was a Black-Billed Magpie.

Closeup Monday

Here is a late C.U.M post. A few most recent pictures include exciting goldfinches at my feeder for the first time due to new trees in the area! A few pictures from the past week as well as a few from The Forks. See all the Forks pictures here.

Here is my post. Sorry I missed last last few. We had one guess though, and it was wrong. The correct bird was a Lark Sparrow. Here is this week's:

The Forks (again)

Last night, my family and I took a little outing the The Forks - a place in Winnipeg where the Red and Assiniboine Rivers meet - for a little time with our family. It is good habitat for many species of river duck as well as cavity nesting duck as the banks of the rivers are lined with trees. We saw Wood Duck (sadly, no males) with ducklings, Mallard ducklings, and goose goslings. :-) Here are some pictures.
